IMPROV & COMEDY FOR COMMERCIAL AUDITIONS

Let’s face it: most commercial auditions have a heavy improv or comedy component to them. Increasingly, directors are looking for folks with improv chops to help sell their wares. But improv training can be a heavy commitment, and if you’re a working actor with a robust creative life you might not have time to commit to a year long program.

This four week crash course in improv and comedy will distill the improv skills you need to know to nail auditions, get callbacks and, with some luck, start booking more work. We’ll focus on identifying your comedic voice, developing listening skills, learning the dos and don’t of improvising with a partner during an audition, work performance techniques to sell the humor on the page and the analytical skills to find some funny moments the casting directors aren’t expecting.

In other words, we’ll learn how to make ‘em actually laugh in the room.

Best of all, with a manageable class size, this workshop will have plenty of on camera practice opportunities and be tons of fun.
